The ExDetector IRCO2 / IRHC is a gas detection and warning system designed for use in hazardous areas (Ex-zones 1 and 2). It detects carbon dioxide (CO₂) and combustible gases/vapours that can form explosive mixtures. The system uses NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) technology for accurate measurement and provides real-time monitoring, warnings, and protective measures. It features a linear 4-20 mA output, three-conductor technology, and is certified for use in explosive environments. The system includes a sensor, controller, and controllable devices like fans and warning signs. It is equipped with a wide measurement range, with the IRCO2 model detecting CO₂ up to 2.0 vol% and the IRHC model monitoring gases up to 100% LEL. The system is also designed for easy calibration and maintenance, with optional calibrators and explosion-protected operation.
