cmc Klebetechnik GmbH CMC Klebetechnik GmbH, founded in 1998 and based in Frankenthal, Germany, is a manufacturer and coater of technical adhesive tapes and films that has developed specialized sealing solutions for PEM fuel cells and PEM electrolyzers over more than five decades of coating expertise. The company's CMC 61145 adhesive film (hydrolysis-stable PEN carrier film with acrylate adhesive) and CMC 15141/15142 (PPSU-based) sub-gasket films seal the membrane electrode assembly (MEA) subframe, preventing hydrogen/oxygen media crossover while providing electrical insulation, mechanical stability, and facilitating automated roll-to-roll MEA assembly. CMC's adhesive films are designed for durability in demanding fuel cell applications such as electric buses, heavy goods transport, and decentralized power supplies, with hydrolysis and solvent resistance suited to the acidic, humid stack environment. The company was awarded the Bronze Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment and supplies customized film materials, adhesives, and die-cut parts for hydrogen technology, e-mobility/battery, and broader electrical engineering applications.
