Dual Stage Venting Solutions - Dual Stage Jet
- Donaldson’s dual-stage venting solutions offer manufacturers innovative options to meet their operational needs.
- These vents feature proprietary hydrophobic and oleophobic Tetratex® expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membranes, enhancing performance and protection.
- The dual-stage Jet takes battery safety to a new level with the industry’s fastest degassing capabilities.
- Engineered to provide optimal pressure equalization and ingress protection during normal operating conditions, the Jet will jettison its cap and poppet in the event the internal pack pressure exceeds the opening pressure.
- The rapid degassing occurs at roughly 100 liters/second @ 100 mbar, greatly reducing potential damage to additional cells
- Screw-Fit or Bayonet Interface
- Minimum Airflow of 97 liters/hour @ 10 mbar
- Opening Pressure of 115 mbar

- Tetratex® ePTFE Membrane: Hydrophobic and oleophobic properties for superior protection against water, dirt, and other contaminants.
- Pressure Equalization: Ensures consistent pressure equalization with a minimum airflow of 97 liters/hour at 10 mbar during normal operation.
- Burst Vent: Provides quick pressure relief at 25 liters/second at 300 mbar, maintaining battery pack integrity.
- Cap: Protects the membrane from spray, tested for water and air tightness, and jettisons during thermal runaway.
- Poppet: Secures the membrane and shields it from spray, jettisoning during thermal runaway.
- Custom Seal: Prevents dust and water from entering the battery pack.
- Body: Signature design for adjustable release pressure and reliable performance.
- ISO-6149 Threaded Interface: Ensures easy and reliable attachment to the battery pack housing, with a bayonet interface available as needed.
- O-Ring: Provides reliable sealing to the battery pack wall.
