The Fixed Hydrogen Sensor is a patented solid-state electrochemical hydrogen sensor designed for high sensitivity, selectivity, and accuracy. It features an extremely compact design measuring 98mm x 64mm x 34mm and weighs less than 350gms. The sensor detects hydrogen selectively even in the presence of multiple background gases and has a sub-second response time, with T20 to T90 ranging from 0.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds. It offers a wide operating range from ppm levels up to 10% H2 v/v and is damage-resistant, withstanding over-exposure to hydrogen and high humidity. The sensor has an operating life of 4-5 years and supports various output options including analogue voltage, 4-20mA, CAN (29-bit), and RS485. It is energy-efficient, operating at less than 30mA on 24VDC. The sensor is housed in an IP68 powder-coated aluminum enclosure and seamlessly integrates with SCADA, PLC, DCS, BMS systems, as well as on-board ECU and HSCU systems in automotive applications. It enhances safety by detecting and addressing very low levels of leaks early, ensuring reliable operation during catastrophic hydrogen releases and providing continuous alerts. The sensor is compact, easy to handle, and deployable in space-constrained locations, significantly accelerating system response time by 4X when positioned near the ceiling. It offers cost-saving operations by eliminating unnecessary downtime and false alarms, and includes comprehensive AMC (After-Market Care) for periodic calibration and hassle-free product replacement. The sensor also supports future-ready upgrades and tailored solutions for large-volume collaborations, including customization for specific operating conditions, wireless communication, alternative power management, and meeting size and material construction requirements.
