The AROS MB HDPE – IM is a graphene-enhanced polyethylene masterbatch configured for injection molding to achieve reduced hydrogen permeability. For the polyethylene-graphene product family, this material provides up to a 41% reduction in hydrogen-gas permeability while retaining its mechanical properties and chemical resistivity. The masterbatch features added electroactivity along with excellent dispersibility, ensuring proper graphene dispersion within the polyethylene matrix. It is designed for injection-molded polymer components used in hydrogen-barrier parts, pressure vessels, pipes, or accessory applications. The material can be incorporated as a masterbatch across a range of polyethylene grades while maintaining the structural and chemical-resistance characteristics of the polymer family.

Use Cases

  • Injection-molded polymer components for hydrogen pressure-vessel, pipe, or accessory applications
  • Hydrogen-barrier polymer parts made from HDPE
  • Injection-molding programs requiring a graphene-enhanced polyethylene masterbatch

Capabilities

  • Reduces hydrogen permeation through polyethylene-based components
  • Can be incorporated as a masterbatch across a range of polyethylene grades
  • Maintains the polymer-family mechanical and chemical-resistance characteristics stated for the solution
  • Provides graphene dispersion within the polyethylene matrix
Graphmatech AB Graphmatech develops and supplies AROS graphene-enhanced polymer materials, including polyethylene, polyamide, and treated polymer-powder grades intended for hydrogen-economy components with reduced hydrogen permeability.
