Hydrogen technologies require highly active and reliable electrocatalysts to achieve high efficiency and long-term performance.

Platinum remains the benchmark catalyst for hydrogen electrochemistry due to its excellent catalytic activity and stability.

For this purpose, Ne.m.e.sys. offers K-10, a high-performance electrocatalyst specifically developed for hydrogen-related electrochemical applications.

Key features

AEM membranes, catalysts, electrodes and complete MEAs are available.

The customization can be made for support, electrode dimension, loading, catalyst composition and membrane type. PGM-free options are available upon the signature of an NDA.

The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity of K-10 was evaluated using a rotating disk electrode (RDE) in 1.0 M KOH at 25 °C.

The polarization curve shows an overpotential of approximately 27 mV at 10 mA cm⁻², indicating high catalytic activity toward HER under alkaline conditions.

The corresponding Tafel analysis gives a slope of 66 mV dec⁻¹ with R² = 0.997, confirming favourable HER reaction kinetics
