HO Meter - ReiCat

  • The HO analyzer is an indispensable safety instrument for monitoring gas flows to prevent explosive mixtures.
  • It measures the hydrogen or oxygen content in various gases, including hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, noble gases, inert gases, and gas mixtures.
  • In the event of leaks or system malfunctions, the HO analyzer immediately shuts off the gas flow via a hard-wired emergency shut-off valve.

Technical Advantages

  • The device operates on the principle of exothermic reaction heat and features a non-consumable measuring cell, ensuring maintenance-free operation and a long service life. It offers a short response time (t90) for rapid reaction times and provides a linear, highly reproducible 4–20 mA output signal. The measurement range is 0 to 4 vol.% for hydrogen and 0.01 to 3 vol.% for oxygen.

Applications

  • The HO meter is typically installed at the inlet of hydrogen purification systems for PtX and hydrogen recycling systems, but is also available as a rugged, standalone device for critical applications such as submarines and nuclear power plants.
